Merry Christmas Everyone 2021!

We had some family over today on this lovely Christmas Day.  The snow was coming down so beautifully and we haven't had snow in along time on Christmas.  It was such an exciting experience for our grandchildren.  They were so happy and played in the snow, while we painted them.

Happy Winter Solstice 2021!

We went to visit some friends today in Parksville on Vancouver Island.  We walked along the shoreline where our shadows were longer on this first day of the Winter Solstice.  The weather was sunny but the wind was cold and we had a great time today.

On Our Remembrance Day In Victoria 2021

We stayed in Victoria and commemorated Remembrance Day there.  The weather was rainy but very beautiful and it wasn't cold yet.  The autumnal colours in the forest were lovely too and then we visited some friends in Esquimalt.

On A Wonderful Labour Day 2021

This Labour Day Monday we went down to Stanley Park to walk around the seawall.  Lots of people refusing to wear their masks and not really being concerned about the Covid-19.  We had a picnic near English Bay and did some watercolour painting, which looked great.  The weather was still warm but not like that heat dome that we had last month.

On This Beautiful Easter Sunday 2021!

Having a Lovely Easter Sunday with Our Family.  We went out for a beautiful nature walk and painted a pretty painting of the wild snowdrops and daffodils along the stream in the lower meadows.  The spring sunlight was wonderful and the songbirds sang magnificently.

Happy Family Day 2021!

We went to see relatives today and had a lovely four hour drive up the island highway.  We were all masked and all of us waved and spoke using our phones and it was enjoyable.  Everyone is still staying safe and keeping social distancing safety protocols and masked.  This Covid virus will be around for awhile until everyone is vaccinated and probably when winter comes back certain strains of the virus may appear again. At these times all our mask wearing is mandatory, especially in the supermarkets and department stores and most businesses and restaurants have been closed.  So lots of people should by now get use to wearing a mask, as it's going to be around for quite sometime.

Valentine's Day in Stanley Park 2021

My wife and myself spent a lovely day in Vancouver's beautiful and snowy Stanley Park.  We went up to the North Shore to visit the in-laws and were masked throughout our visit.  The people walking along the sea wall didn't really attempt to keep social distancing rules and most were not masked, it was quite rude of them.  We always moved away from them and later met some friends on a car ride.  They were masked and we had a lovely time socializing with them, then later boarded the ferry back to the Island.
