A few years ago I was driving along Southern Vancouver Island near Shawnigan Lake and made an unplanned but enjoyable detour to Koksilah River Provincial Park.After parking I hiked down and crossed an old wooden bridge. Below was Koksilah River with its small canyon.
I sketched this small charcoal composition with watecolour washes. I then carefully smudged more charcoal into the paper to leave that effect and I like the end painting.
