We all headed over to Langley for a picnic at Campbell River Park today. Lots of early spring flowers in the forest and we met more of our extended family and hiked along the trails. We would leave the forest and venture out towards the secret meadows and then we ate our prepared foods in the basket and painted the scenery. My painting was quite lovely and we stayed to dusk, around 7:37 p.m. Many different types of wild songbirds could be seen and heard singing and the small arctic ones haven't yet migrated northerly.
