Elsewhere the golden-rod and purple loose-strife are abundant and the colours compliment the other vegetation.

The salmon fishing season was done and everything is timed and under inspection so nothing illegal or unfair takes place. I took sanctuary under a willow with its flourishing branches and pendulum leaves as the deluge of rain swept by my feverish paintings of that scene. Both paintings emerging from nothingness into a visual clarity of colour and meaning. Somewhat like that of an old silver nitrate plate with the ghostly image of that subject materializing to be frozen for all eternity.
Of all the pets I have had and cared for throughout my life, I find the bird very interesting. She's a conure, the smallest member of the parrot family. She's intelligent, loveable, playful, spoiled(why not?), loyal and they take to one person in their long lives. They're colourful and love being held, craddled, tickled and sometimes even can recite human words if taught.

I find this cannery from the early 20th century haunting and beautiful. It was demolished in the 90's and it's sad to see lots of our history lost. It seems like everything is for sale by greedy people who lie and say it's progress. But we all really know it's for their own self-gratification and flipping of property. I'm happy that our Parks, Heritage sites and buildings are protected by laws, preservationists, and environmentally friendly people so our children will know where we all came from and who we are.
