The Elegance of the Wild Forest 2015

For the land seemed alive at Beacon Hill Park,
On this holiday of adventure,
Cloudless skies over to Victoria today in May,
We walked along while the songbirds sang,
And the gold finches praised,
As the robins filled their nests with small sky blue worlds,
The elegance of the wild forest,
Would lie the bleeding hearts,
It was those wild flowers today that gleamed,
All beautiful in rose coloured pinks,
In their own secret forest still untouched that amazed,
As we walked away and travelled across Dallas Road,
To the cliffs which saw us back to those cultivated beds of flowers,
We would walk along like those panicles of elegance and form,
Back in that secret woodland forest still wild and forgotten.
